Safety is the New Luxury

Spa Concepts is taking the following measures to keep you safe and healthy during your visit.  These policies were put into effect based on the Governor’s Proclamations, Cosmetology Board’s Guidelines for Reopening, Fire Marshal occupancy requirements, Louisiana Board of Massage Therapy, and CDC Guidelines.  Spa Concepts will make your visit as enjoyable and luxurious as we can while following the guidelines.  These policies are temporary, and we will return to the high level of service you are accustomed to as soon as possible.  Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate through this unprecedented time together.

Arrival and Departure

  • Please bring a mask to wear that loops around each ear and covers your nose and mouth.  All guests and employees are required to wear a mask 100% of the time while inside our facilities except for certain services as discussed below.  The mask must cover your nose AND mouth at all times to be effective.  If you forget to bring a mask, we will provide one for you.  Guests who do not want to wear a mask will not be allowed to enter and are asked to wait until a later date when masks may not be required.
  • We are limited to 50% occupancy.  Please do not bring extra people with you, including family, children, or friends – just yourself.  Additional people will not be able to enter.
  • When you arrive, please call us to check in or check in using Pocket Salon and wait in your car, in air conditioning if possible.  We will call or message you when its time to come in.
  • Service providers may only serve one guest at a time.  Some waiting areas are closed.  Physical distancing is required in all open waiting areas.
  • We will take the temperature of all guests upon entry with a touchless thermometer.  Anyone with a fever over 100.4° is not able to enter and will be rescheduled without a cancellation fee.  If you feel ill for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible and do not come to your appointment.
  • All guests will have to sign a waiver before entry that includes a State-required health screen questionnaire.
  • All guests will be asked to wash their hands or use sanitizer on arrival.
  • Guests will be able to experience a touchless check out using Apple pay, Google pay, tap-enabled credit cards, mobile devices with our new Pocket Salon app, or by registering a card on file.  Cash and credit cards are also accepted.

Safety and General Information

  • A 1% sanitation surcharge will be added to all service tickets to help offset some of the extra costs for cleaning, disinfection, and supply price hikes.  The maximum per ticket is $1. These extra measures were put into place by governing agencies and Spa Concepts to keep you safe.  The fee is temporary and will be removed as soon as things return to normal.
  • We are offering most services on our menu during Phase 2 including nail services, hair services, waxing, facials, lash lift, massages, microblading, permanent makeup on the eyes, and all spa packages (lunch omitted).  The following services will be added at a later date:  makeup application, airbrush tanning, permanent makeup on the lips, lash extensions, all spa packages.
  • All our employees have been certified or trained by someone who has been certified in two primary industry-recommended sanitation courses: Barbicide COVID-19 and Milady Infection Control.
  • All workstations and waiting areas are spaced to keep you 6 feet away from other guests.
  • We have a regular sanitizing schedule for all frequently-touched surfaces and areas.
  • All workstations, service areas, and reusable tools are sanitized thoroughly after every guest with EPA-registered disinfectants labeled bactericidal, virucidal and fungicidal, or 70% alcohol.
  • There is hand sanitizer at entrances, on every workstation, in restrooms, and at all sink areas.
  • Our employees undergo a health screen questionnaire and temperature check before each shift.  Any employee exhibiting signs of illness is sent home.
  • All service providers wash and sanitize their hands before and after every service.
  • Beverage service is suspended until further notice per State regulations.  You may bring your own beverage.  Beverage containers must have a lid or cap.  Our filtered water stations will be available for filling water bottles.  Bottled water is also available.
  • No outside food is allowed inside.
  • Aveda complimentary rituals such as hand massages, scalp massages, and head, neck and shoulder massages, are suspended.

Specific to hair services:

  • All hair capes are washed in between every service, as always.
  • Blow dry services are optional.  For any guest that does not want a blow dry service, we will offer a leave-in conditioner and a simple braid at the end of your service (for hair of sufficient length).
  • If you wish to spend less time in our spa, please wash your hair on the day of your appointment.  We will offer shampoos, but you may opt out.
  • If you wish to spend less time in our spa, express services will be available for existing single process color guests at a reduced cost.  This is not available for highlights or enlightening services.  You will process and wash your own hair at home.  Please ask if interested.

Our cancellation and rescheduling policy:

Cancelling or rescheduling your appointment results in a vacant appointment time that may or may not be able to be rebooked, depending on demand and when the appointment is cancelled.  As available appointment times have been reduced by occupancy limits and social distancing requirements, and in consideration of other guests and the livelihoods of our employees, please give us as much advance notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.  Cancelling or rescheduling within 24 hours of your appointment start time will result in your card being charged for 50% of service, or forfeiture of your online deposit.  If you do not show for your appointment and do not inform us you are unable to make it, we will charge your card for the full amount of the service.  If you are sick or experiencing symptoms of the flu or COVID, or live with someone who has these conditions, please let us know but do not come into the spa.  Cancellation fees will be waived for anyone experiencing or living with someone who has COVID or flu-like symptoms.  Abuse of this policy will impact your ability to book services with us in the future, unless paid for in full prior to the service
